Just heard from a friend of mine about a nice little promo at a very small casino out west. He received a coupon telling him that the coupon, usable for one hand only, would enable him to get an ace as his first card for that hand. He could bet up to table max on that one hand (which according to him is $200 at this casino). He is not an AP'er and he asked me if this was a good promo and how he should play it. Of course I told him to use it and bet table max....and that if he was afraid to bet that much...I would underwrite whatever he did not want to take.

May all the dealer BJ's occur when you have 16.

I have seen people play "Free Ace" coupons at Wheeling Island casino in WV for years. The dealers take your first card and your coupon serves as Ace. Use it when you know the deck is tens-rich.

I played this same promo at another location before. Unfortunately though, that coupon was limited to $5 :( and I got a blackjack!

Since this coupon is maxed at $200, maybe your friend is a very valuable player to them. If the casino sent this coupon to their mass blackjack clientele, then they're in for a big loss this month :)
