This casino offers 2 games,
1) 8d, s17, das, rsa, $10 min, avg=75%
2) 6d, s17, das, rsa, NMS, $25 min, avg=75%
Im playing with a 20k account using KO.
Is the 6d game playable? or should I stick to the 8d'ers?

Thanks

Play both. They are both beatable. Wong out on negative counts, wong in on positive counts with the 8d. As long as you bankroll can handle a $25 waiting bet that is.

8D/1.5 pen is about as good as 6D/1.5 pen, but if you are truly at 75% of the shoe on each, I wouldn't want to be playing 8D/2.0 pen. That stinks.

If it were me, I'd bite the bullet and play the 6D at $25, but be very good at Wonging out. If using KO, learn the right Wongout points for various parts of the shoe. This can be tricky, as can switching between 6D and 8D, having to readjust your IRC and indices and all that. That's why in a practical sense KO might not be any easier than High-Low for this kind of play.

I don't know how big this place is, but I'd probably end up playing both games. (they allow surrender, by the way?)

Even though you could spread $10-$200 on the 8D tables, you'd want to wong on them.

Spreading $25-$200 on the 6D tables would be sub-optimal, and not recommended in a play-all environment (unless you're getting comped well, and as green chip all the type that might be a factor) I agree that wonging out is going to be important at these 6D tables.

You could wong back and forth, start playing 6D off the top, wong out, go find a 8D table to backcount, wong in, wong out, go back to a 6D table with a fresh shuffle, etc. It's really going to depend on the layout of the joint, and how many tables are available. If it's just a few tables, you'll be looking at short sessions.

Also, I have some well-documented problems switching between 6D and 8D problems with KO. Actually, it's not the adjustment to KO itself, it's recognizing how many decks I'm playing when I sit at the table :)

No they dont offer surrender.

If I were to use the play-all approach, spreading from 25-300 on the 6d game my ROR is high, around 21%.
What would my risk be if I started shoes and wonged out of bad counts?

If 300 is your max bet, still about 20%.
On th other hand, keeping the win rate constant, when Wonging out he can lower his max bet a bit from $300, decreasing RoR significantly. Or he can keep the RoR at 20% and increase the win rate significantly. It's up to Jeff- how much is he willing to work for per hour versus how willing he is to accept losing his $20K.

If you play for a living= wong in and wong out

if you don't play for a living, and you can reload sometime after if you busto, sit in and wong out...

I like to gamble it up...so go with the 6 deck
