New person here, a few blackjack questions

anybody know if there is a place online or something that has up to date blackjack table rule variations (double after split, resplit aces, late surrender, how many decks used, etc) for each casino? that would be awfully helpful in determining where the best place is to play for non-counters.

can you tell me if I have these percentages right...

Player-favorable Rule Variations
double down ony any two cards +0.24%
double after split +0.14%
late surrender +0.06%
resplit aces +0.06

House-favorable Rule Variations
Two decks -0.32%
four decks -0.48%
six decks -0.54%
eight decks -0.58%
dealer hits soft 17 -0.20%

I should be able to figure out the house edge at the casino I'm playing at once I know the rules of the table if these percentages are accurate.

Thanks.

*edit*

one more question. i just checked out the blackjack basic strategy generator on this site and resplitting of aces wasn't listed. isn't this a small but valuable rule variation for the player?

You can get the newest version of Current Blackjack News here:

http://bj21.com/ads/cbjn1.html

It has the rules for every casino in America.

resplit aces +0.06
Those look about right to me.

You can also use the Blackjack House Edge Calculator here:

It is a valuable rule, but it doesn’t change any basic strategy decisions so it isn’t listed.

it looks like you have the most important rules outlined.

for specific regions of the US you might want to ask those questions in the respect sections on this forum, or to get the most up to date info, if you live close enough - go do some recon on your own. there is a publication by Wong that you can buy "current blackjack news" https://secure.bj21.com/order/order1.htm it seems that it often isn't accurate by some accounts. (just what i've heard, but it still looks to be the best most up to date source). other people on here i'm sure use it so maybe they can comment on its accuracy.

edit: sonny is a faster typer than i am. hence the identical post.

beautiful thanks to the both of you

re: the resplitting of aces, I was wondering if this was reflected in the House Edge calculation. It was listed over on the wizardofodds thing though so it's all good.

however I'm a little confused on wizardofodds basic strategy chart on surrender. As I understand it, surrender rules in a multiple deck game (for non-counters) is as follows...

surrender hard 16 against 9, 10, A but not 8,8 (split those)
surrender hard 15 against 10

-What to do about 8,8? I thought it was slightly better to split those against 9, T, A? wizardofodds says if dealer is showing an A, then surrender with 8,8

-Also wizard says to surrender a hard 17 if dealer shows A. Really? Is this for early surrender strategy? I haven't ever played at a table that had it.

-double on 11 with A showing? I've never done this (not good enough to keep the running count, I always lose track when i play in the casino so I just stick with basic strategy as best I know for now)

-With A8, wizard says double if dealer shows 6. ?

-With A7, wizard includes 2 on doubling. I thought it was double on 3-6 and stand on 2,7,8 and hit against 9, T, A. Also (unrelated to wizardofodds) suppose I am at soft 18 (not dealt it, just my total after 3 or 4 cards) with 2, 7, or 8 showing. I can't double so I just stand right? That's what I usually do.

If you could clear up these confusing questions for me, it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks again!

Most of the above can be accounted for by paying close attention to the rules of the game it is describing. Like you'd double A7 vs 2 & A8 vs 6 in multideck H17 games but not S17. The number of decks will effect BS also.
