New to black jack

I just picked up this hobby since I live in Biloxi and after playing twice and not knowing anything I've won a few hundred bucks. I know it's all luck but I read the Gregorian Strategy and want to get an idea of what other people think of it. Is it a scam or does it really work?

Firstly, See the p.m. that I sent you.

Secondly, IF you play with nothing more than Basic Strategy then you will never have an advantage and you will, over the long haul, just hemorrhage money.

Thanks Flash, I will definately take your advice. I just wish I would not have went ahead and wasted the $9 on that book, at least I haven't started playing yet.

hi everyone
blackjack very popular because that's real money game ..but i think blackjack is the first priority of every new gamble player.blackjack is a beatable game, for a skilled player, with the right rules. 6-5 bj gives the house a much bigger advantage, which is almost impossible to overcome. The best bj players don't just count, they ace track, shuffle track, and hole card as well, also have to learn to play under heavy cover, to keep from getting banned, but a few people manage to do so. Best advantage a top player can expect, using just counting, in a 3-2 bj game with good rules is about 1%, and that is with a big (such as 1 to 20) spread, with an indexed count system, and never making a mistake. In the real world, an advantage of 0.25% to 0.5% is realistic. So if you are playing black chips at about 60 to 80 hands per hour, expect long term winnings of maybe $30 to $80 per hour; but have a bankroll that can handle pushing $2,000 across the table per hand, and which can keep that up through long losing streaks.

I've often wished I had the power to zap both the spam and the spammers. But clicking that little red triangle at the upper right of the post to report it as spam is almost as much fun!

Oh Well

Impatience got the better of me. I should've done a bit more research instead of going directly off the reviews at amazon. Clearly the author had those made up by his buddies.
