New to counting

Hi. I am new to counting but have already had success mostly due to backcounting and sitting out negative counts. Basically, I'm not afraid of making decisions considered on this forum to be "a counter's move". I do only usually backcount a couple tables each visit. I found an 8 deck game here in the state of Indiana that cuts off about 2.5 decks. It has double after splits, double on any two cards, stand on 17s. Should I play this game? I play at about 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. and usually only play with 1 or 2 other players and sometimes I play heads up. Should I be playing this game? Most of the games here in Indiana are 6 deck but I don't like to go to one casino more than once a month so I would like to play this game if possible. The reason I ask is because after the first hour, I was down about 20 units and starting to wonder whether this game could be beaten. I came back and finished up 6 units and decided to leave with that and ask y'all if this was a game I should be playing. By the way, there are approx. 15 cainos within my driving reach. But, this is one that is the closest.

You should try and calc you edge for the diff games available to you. Use the rules, your count (which is?) the pene, and your bankroll and bet spread for this. Then work in the travel time and gas mileage etc and see if it is worth your time.
