No heat, barely-beatable games

What would happen if casinos offered NME, 80% pen, fixed max, barely-beatable games where card counters were welcome without fear of reprisal or mitigating measures? They could conceivably do this by setting the HA at a level where perfect AP play and complex counts would be required to overcome it. 2% HA? 2.5% HA? Whatever.

Would the "no heat" factor nevertheless draw the APs, even if it required a level 3 count and perfect play to overcome the HA?

Wouldn't this also be tantamount to outing themselves for purposes of playing other games?

There's certain people who beat games for the sake of beating them, they would do it.

People who do it for money, no way. Under the conditions you described, sounds like it would be a huge variance game with a tiny edge (like .1%), so not worth it.

And casinos don't like anybody who has an edge against them, so the scenario you described would never happen

this just sounds like any game with huge house edges. isnt baccarat beatable with like a 1-1000 spread or some or something? i think most card games are countable and you can beat with outragous spreads. would you eventually get heat in baccarat or caribbean stud? i dont know

What if, the casino set the HA exactly at that point where perfect basic strategy and counting would yield a .5% player advantage, although a $25 min 6-deck game would have a max bet cap at $300, $50 game at $600, etc. (12 X min bet)?

Sure, I know a place that deals a ton of 8D, H17 games, pen from 75% to 85%, come and go as you please, decent comps and offers, and as long as you keep your max bet under $500 and avoid high-limit rooms you will have virtually no heat.

There's a dirty, deteriorating boardwalk outside.

And you're saying you can spread your bet from $25 to $500 to your hearts content without heat? Now really! I bet they'd chase you off in a NY second.

I've personally wonged in to a shoe betting table max and got nothing more then a glance over when "orange action, table max" was called.

I don't mean that. AM seemed to be saying that one can spread to $500 all day long without heat. Surely he is joking, unless he's talking about a $100 min table.

You can spread from $10 to 2x$200 all day long, with certainty.

Yeah, if you do it all day you'll get some attention. On saturday night at B though you could probably do it for the entire shift at the same table though, since the average action in the pit is like 500 bucks. At other times at the B, there's 4 BJ pits.. you can rotate through them.

But if you go to a place with 3 casinos next to each other.. you could spread min-max for an hour, go to the next place, then the next, then go back to a different pit at the first place, and repeat. you can get 6 hours of play in during a shift this way
