my local casino offers 6D H17 DAS DA2 LS and about 75% pen

i am decent at hi-lo count and i was wondering if this is the best particular level 1 system for that game or there are other better level 1 systems

and also for hi lo what do u guys think is a good spread without attracting heat

I like your advice CP. With 6d, mediocre rules and pen, you must play as close to optimal as you possibly can otherwise it will take you multiple lifetimes to overcome variance. Especially if you are a low stakes counter, dont worry about heat just make sure you make the right plays at the right time.
