OK everybody, tell me where to go!

I'm going to have a 4-day weekend free this month and I want to go on a mission. But to where? Here are some possibilities:

Arizona: there's a very good game I want to play out there but the problem is, if I get douched out (which is easy to do over 4 days) it's 6 hours to the next nearest good game.

UP Michigan: some excellent games, but most run by the same outfit and if I'm banned from one I will probably be banned from all.

Wendover: again, some excellent SD, but again if I am banned from one I will probably be banned from all. But Jackpot is only a couple of hours away. This is high on my list.

Minnesota/Wisconsin: some excellent games in this area but stores are very far apart, and the CBJN updates are old. 'Not my yob' to fly 1000 and drive 100 to update a CBJN entry.

Southern LA/MS: Reliable games, easy to get to.

Reno: I go a couple of times a year already and my face is on Wanted posters all over town.

Washington State: Some very interesting listings; unorthodox rules, deep pen, probably a lot of weaknesses to exploit. But I don't have a lot of time to scout all those stores for weaknesses. Lot of low table maxes too- my action will stand out.

Las Vegas: The games just aren't that good. Not compared to what is available in the smaller venues.

Tunica: A few games, but they don't look that good and I'll have to use advanced techniques to make Tunica better than the alternatives. No guarantee I can use those techniques until I see the game.

All right, what's everybody's opinion on where I should go? All suggestions welcome, PM if you don't want to blurt it out in public.

You might as well check out southern LA/MS...plus they're new buildings, right? So they should be nice to see while you are "doing business".

good luck

One pit boss banned you he doesn't know everyone.

If there is just one pit boss that knows you and he is the one that banned you from playing blackjack you might be able to play just find on someone elses shift in the same casino. I different casino even if it is owned by the same company might not know you at all so you probably will not be banned from there right away. You might want to be very carefull about using a players card of a club you already got banned from.

Hit the lake!

Monk,
Sounds to me that you havn't been up there yet, so why not? They still have a good DD game at the Biltmore at North Shore and Crystal Bay Club is right across the road. After you used that up go down to Hyatt at the shore and try your new Monkey System with the shoes there. Later you can drive down to South Shore and check out Harvey's, Harrah's (Cabo Wabo!) and the two others down the street. There may also be that good DD still at Lakeside Resort that Zg was talking about. That should keep you busy for a couple of days. If you manage to get thrown out of all those you can still sneak back to your favorite Ro7 place (big secret here!) and even back down to Carson City. Bona Fortuna!

Dude, whatever you do, don't go to Casino Arizona. They'll chew you up and spit you out.

edit: oh, regarding Wendover, how the heck would you fly in? Anyway, there's only like two companies that own all of the casinos there, right? Well, if you have a car, worst case, you could always just drive somewhere. You mentioned that Jackpot is close. But you could even make it to Reno in a mere 5.5 hours.

If Tahoe is an option now, I'm switchin' my vote up...great place. Great time of year to roll out there too.

good luck

Why not screw the west, and stay in the east? Save the free trip for some non-gaming mission. Go to your favorite AC casino, or the wonder of it all, or a world at play. More favorable games, and you even agreed!

That's why Tahoe would be great...blackjack and vacation! Plenty to do there--unless you aren't an outdoors person.

good luck

The CT games aren't bad, but I log hundreds of hours a year at those stores and can probably milk them indefinitely as long as I don't do anything crazy like play for 4 days straight at them. AC is AC, but if I'm going to go on a mission I'd prefer to play way better games than those.

Flights to SLC are pretty decent now, so Bendover is looking better. There is only a 5 hour drive to Reno/Tahoe in an emergency. Maybe I can pick up a temple garment and go as a Mormon on tilt.

Yeah, Monk's got it right , it's only 100 mi. from SLC Airport to Wendover, trouble is, even though they got some pretty decent SD games, they might not feel comfortable with his action for very long, ala. green/black so his stay might be minimal there. I did the same scene two years ago, From SLC to SF driving across the "outback" and it was a hoot...love that stretch! Stopped in every pit stop along the way viz. Wells, Carlin, Battle Mountain, Elko, Winemucca and Lovelock. My goal was to win enough $ for gas, food and and couple night's room exp. playing red. I did it and then some. it was fun..well rested and a few extra bills for my Reno adventure. BTW, it's 400 mi. from Wendover to Reno. How do you figure five hours? I hope you're not speeding.
Strange mental image just came over me--Monk attending a Morman service in a monkey suit.

Are there even medium-roller joints in Wendover? I only spent one night there, like six years ago, but it seemed like a red/silver kind of town.

THERE'S NOTHING ELSE TO DO ON I-80 BUT SPEED!

ER I have a question for you. You seem to be very worried about being banned that if you get banned at one place you'll be banned at all. From your other thread "man, this counting stuff is hard.." I can tell you have counting down and are doing very good on this part. Why don't you work on building a better cover then? Over your 4-day weekend instead of just working on counting work on your cover. If you are betting so obviously that you are worried about being banned I think you should work on making it not look so obvious then. Just a thought.

Personally, i think you should check out tunica. There's a coulple decent two deckers at the fitzgeralds, amoung many others to choose from, and even better ones a little further south.
Or maybe you should close your eyes and throw a dart at a map or something and let fate decide.the choice is yours.
Remember it's what happens at the tables that count's.Your, your own boss,So lock-n-load and show us how its done OUT THERE in the real world.

heh heh i like that. i mean yeah auto-monk ought to make an intelliegent decision where to play based on finding the best rules he can weighed against the places he'd personally most want to visit. but from there if its a toss up then like you say throw a dart at the map. :)

To be honest, my worries of a Global Indian Blacklist were mainly a result of panic. I've only been backed of twice so far, so it's still pretty unnerving when it happens. I've calmed down now.

Over your 4-day weekend instead of just working on counting work on your cover.
Monkey's the one with the 4-day weekend coming up. Confusing the two of us is a mutual insult.

Also, I've seen Monkey's Act, and it's really... something?
