From the Las Vegas Sun:

Casinos are notoriously protective of their blackjack games and have sophisticated ways of identifying - and banning - card counters. Yet, Planet Hollywood and Red Rock Resort opened their doors for the taping of the upcoming Kevin Spacey movie "21," which is based on the best-selling book chronicling the exploits of the MIT card-counting team, "Bringing Down the House."

Curious Pairing

A curious pairing, Planet Hollywood (Slyvester Stallone, Arnold Swartzenegger, et al), and Red Rock, I have heard owned by the owners of the Station Casinos, Italian family originally out of Galveston, Tx, I believe. I wonder if they have any mutual business interests or connection, or just a happenstance selection.

Planet Hollywood Casino (formerly, Aladdin) is one of the friendliest hotels and casinos in LV IMO (affiliated with Sheraton Hotels). Red Rock is one of the newest and most luxurious hotels and casinos in LV, in Summerlin, not on the strip.

I like how neither casino was open even close to back when that particular MIT team was in operation.
