Played Blackjack Switch!

Downtown at the 4Q. Wow that game seems like a counter could really, really work it over if he can add the win rates of various hands to his arsenal.

I didn't know any specific strategy for it, so I played it like a shoe game, with the modification of adjusting my TC by 1 instead of 2 for extra aces to reflect the 1:1 BJ payoff. For making the switch decision, I did my best to recall the win rates for various dealt hands versus the dealer upcard and switched or not switched to create the two hands with the highest sum win rate. This process can be improved by knowing the win rates as a function of TC but there's some work and study I'll have to do before I'm ready for that. This was a very profitable sitting, and I'll be looking for more nearby places to play this game.

Seems like you had a nice run Automatic. I heard that one player turned $400 into $5,500 the other day at The 4 Queens, wasn't you was it ?

2 other places in Las Vegas now - 'Fitzgeralds' and 'Texas Station', both 6 deck versions as opposed to the 8 deck version at The 4 Queens (same rules).

As for the statement that BJ Switch can only be beaten by having 2 different bet sizes - totally not true. It's a Blackjack game with a 0.2% house edge so of course counting will turn the odds in the player's favour (they have to 'switch' well to benefit the most though).

Having said that, I wouldn't like it to be targeted too much by counters before it gets a chance to (hopefully) expand into the market.

Best regards
