Playing double exposure

After about 6 months off the tables I gave it another go the other night. One place has a double exposure promotion this month. If anyone including the dealer has a suited bj the dealers next hand is exposed.

How would this effect your bet?

I made out okay the other night with a much more conservative spread. I will be happy with more consistent small wins now.

Obviously you want all pips to be being played. This increases the likelihood of a suited BJ for each round.

Isn't it better to play 1 hand, and spread to all hands once the suited BJ falls ?

Also be aware: does the dealer just show his holecard (I assume), or is this actual double exposure (i.e. ties loses) ? Because of different rules, basic strategy will be different.

I didn't mean for him to play all pips just play a crowded table and play 2 or 3 pips to fill it up if need be. I wouldn't play more than 3 pips.

Agreed. At 7 players (plus dealer) a suited BJ will pop up every 10.5 rounds. Note that "hole-card information" will give you about 10%-12% of advantage. Flat-betting at a 0.5% house edge will give you an EV of

12% - 10.5 * 0.5% = 6.75%.

Spread to 2 hands instead:
(2*12% - 10.5 * 0.5%)/2 = 9.4%.

If you would play heads up (1 hand), and wait for a suited BJ (happens every 42.3 round), then spread to 7 hands, would give you an EV (per hand):

(7 * 12% - 42.3 * 0.5%)/7 = 9%.

I agree, spreading to 2 hands in the first scenario (if possible) will be better, and less aggressive.

Nothing personal tthree, but for the OP's sake, I hope he doesn't give you, or anyone else, any location info. Many good promos have been killed prematurely by revealing their whereabouts.

Dopple - please clean out your mailbox. It's full. I tired to respond to your PM to me 2 weeks ago, but can't.

You are not talking about double your max bet but maybe 5 or 6 times your max bet. He needs to make sure he has the money to do that. The last thing you want to have happen is to have to walk away from such a sweet promo because you over bet and a hand or 2 of bad variance wiped you out. I get the impression you think everyone has an infinite bankroll. I don't know his bankroll but he does. I think most of the readers are in the bankroll growth stage. Certainly the ones asking for the most advice are. He has the info now to play the strategy properly and set his max bet to what he can back up with the money he has at hand.
