Playing in Disguise

I was going to play bj anonymously in disguise, but there was a good promo giveaway for earning a few points, so I gave my players card to a craps table and played 20 minutes. Then I moved way across the casino to bj, where I refuse the players card thing. Five minutes later the pit boss from craps turns up overseeing my table! I colored up quickly and got out of there :)

why would you play rated on one table and refusal at another table..
I've tried doing same at MGM props- rated at few of them... But it was a bad idea..

I had one worse than that. Played with a card at one store and used a different name at another store. One pit boss who knew me at the one started moonlighting at the other. Like you, I got out quickly.

I've used a (backed off) player's card and free buffet coupons to get food, then play anon after lunch. The coupons keep coming...

You don't worry that the surveillance might rewind to the point where they see you've handed in a player's card?

Surveillance gets paid about 15 bucks an hour. They'll call down, say they confirmed your a counter or whatever you're doing, then go back to zooming in on girls, or laughing at how ugly some people are. Unless the pit already knows you used the card, they're not going to go chasing rabbits to find out who you are. They'll log it as backing off a refusal, and that's the end of it.

And the card he's using is already dirty, it's not like he's worrying about protecting his clean name.

It's quite interesting to think that one card counter can make more money than all of the low level surveillance employees.

$15 an hour is pretty optimistic...

If the stories I've heard are true, most of the counters in Vegas are surveillance employees.

I know a surveillance employee here at the Casino du lac Leamy; he's also a counter.

Just get another players card. I have been backed off from Aria and Bellagio, then just got a card with a different name and now I use more offers than ever.
