I love this system.

I dont understand the betting strategy. That is even if the count is negative and suddenly get a positive reading lets say from -18 and I go up =5.5 to -12.5 then I bet up or stay at sing unit betting ? I noticed 9 times out of ten when I am really in the high count I lose dramatically and the house has the edge over me. Its on the way up and the way down that I win Like for example -18 to -12.5 and then back to -17 I hit alot of Blackjacks and High number cards to help me win at this moment.

I was wondering alot of books tell you the count but not how to bet, I had my way of doing things and I do great but I wondered if there is more. Do I calculate a true counnt and if the count goes up I bet up from there ? What do I do ? How should I bet better ?

Thanks

I don't understand your question...if the count is negative you should be betting as little as possible. You should bet in proportion to your advantage. Generally speaking for a 2% risk of ruin (about half-kelly)you can bet roughly two hands of $50 for each 0.5% worth of advantage you have per $25,000 of bankroll. Each +1 TC is worth about 0.5% before deducting the starting house advantage. For most games this means you will not have an actual 0.5% advantage until somewhere between a +1.5 and +2.0 True Count.

If you are not converting your running count into a true count you are not playing your system correctly.

Let me rephrase your question and give you the answer so everybody can understand.

Running count is negative, say -18. Suddenly it spikes up +5.5. Now the running count is -12.5. You did not increase your bet size. Since -12.5 is still negative, your bet stays at the single unit.
