Pushy Pit Bosses and Players Cards

I know the best cover is to have a players card if you plan to play a long time or play high stakes...because a) if you come all the time.....they wonder why you dont want free crap, and b) if you are betting a ton...they wonder why you dont want free crap.

How do you guys without PC's handle obsessent PB's?...Scenario was $100 table, indian casino, the PB was questioning me about getting a PC...even to the point where they wanted to take my DL personally and have a PC made up while i was gambling....look, the last thing i want to do is give the casino my DL out of my sight. I finally told her i don't come here often enough (which i dont) and jokenly told her im doubling up this stack or going home broke....which was a lie, but it kept her out of my face for the time being. :cool2:

Try: " Heck I've got my name on so many mailing lists I can't stand it getting all the junk mail I get" or " I sure don't need any more government involvement in my life and I'm sure one day the I.R.S. is going to force all casinos to give them a list of their regulars"

Or the more generic .. "I'm supposed to be somewhere else" along with frequent checks of voice mail or blackberry.

I didnt really think the players card mattered as much until i jumped to black chipping earlier this summer....It really makes it harder to blend at small casinos outside of vegas. I may have to rethink getting one even at places i play 2-3 times max a year. :) Good thing theres plenty of green action that is usually on open tables at these lower max casinos :cool2: Thanks for your advice

Just scavenge the slot areas for cards someone left behind. Few people will object to you "borrowing" their card to play blackchip BJ with it.You are happy,PB is happy, card owner is getting comps for free. WIn-Win-Win.

"Um,gee...I must have grabbed the wrong card. I had walked away and realized I'd left it in a machine. I guess I went back to the wrong machine."

The only thing on the card is your name, you can simply borrow a friends card and play it, they do not make you show Your ID when you buy-in. I have two cards for the same casino one with my middle intial and one without. So I can split-up my winning sessions. In Burning the tables the author suggest that anytime your down, stop and color-up, so the casino will see some losses recorded on your card in lieu of staying until you get back-up. I have also bought in with my card and hand the same card to my wife to play slots to build more comps, so as to get that room comped before we leave.

Playing in this Indian casino that is using a RFID system and has a computer screen attached to each table. I watched, while sitting at third base, and the pit clicked on the position of one of the players and his profile, including a copy of his drivers license came on screen.
So their system was integrated enough that the license given to the players club to scan can be brought on line at the pit. Using the wrong card there will have you doing the, "oops I must have picked up the wrong card at the slots" routine everytime.
Now, I know if this same computer has my photo, it was not given to them to scan because I was issued a players card while refusing to let my drivers license be scanned. I use the identity theft routine to the hilt.

im pretty sure it depends where you go.. if your at the players club desk, they can see everything about you, and its possible they can at any computer in the casino too, but im sure it would be odd for them to go into a screen that has nothing to do with rating/comps in the pit.. this is just a guess..

one time i went to the desk and said "ok, did i earn enuf starting points to get that free gas card?" and she was like "oh, it appears they didnt log you out, it says your still at the table" so im like, ok log me out, and shes like "we cant do it from here, you must go back to the pit and have them do it" and im like thats ridiculous, your the freakin players club desk! 90% of the time they ask you to come here! and shes like "where were u playing, ill call them", and its a long story from there..

ive heard they record your losses and such, but most of the time the pc never even looks my way, or checks how much we are betting, and rarely goes on the computer unless somebody buys in, so when do they do all this stuff? do they memorize it? many times i have seen arguments over total buy in amount because the pc doesnt record the additional buy ins.. so that is why i said in another post that i THINK that buy in is the most important (whether it is supposed to be or not) because the pc seems to only pay attention when there is a buy in.. i would think they should say "oh, coloring up? whats your name?" and go straight to the computer or something

Actually the best cover is to look like another gambler regardless if you have a players card or not.

I agree completely, since moving up to playing green, the comps I am getting now are much better. At Tunica we have three casinos owned by Harra's, I play all three with with the same players card. Not having to play long enough at any one casino of the three casino's to wear out my welcome. This tactic has really proven to built-up a lot of comps. I have not used another persons card in over a year, I think the comp value out performs the cover at my level.

If you were standing right at the desk, why didn't you just try talking to her instead of texting?

Anyway, don't underestimate a sharp floorman. One time I had a nice pile of chips in front of me, but was bemoaning my losses to a tablemate, saying "I had to go into my wallet twice", right as the floorman is walking by, and he says "wasn't it three times?" (he was right). Or, another place, ten minute after leaving a table and going to the cashier, I walk by the table again and the pit asks "Hey Easy, you've still got seven blacks in your pocket, right?" (he was right).

Course, that's them performing their accounting function, making sure they account for all the cash that's dropped, and all the cihps in the dealer's tray. It's their most important clerk duty.

Win or lose, I will pocket between $100-$150 in chips per hour, but never black. Not hard to pocket 4 greens per hour and if you do it every hour a guy who wins $50 per hour becomes a guy who loses $50 per hour in the computer. Of course, if ratholing $700, it means to me, either you took too much or were on that table way to long.

Nope, that time I had the 7 blacks, I wasn't ratholing them, I just turned around and went to the cashier and only cashed some of them, and I guess he got the report back from the cage.

The other time I had 600 bucks in my pocket was from ratholing greens, and that was because I was at the table too damn long. :)

i dont know what your talking about, there was no shorthand in what i said.. i have stopped using shorthand on here, because there are just too many old people on here (so i assume) that dont get the point of it and dont realize there are different levels of shorthand..

you have the "im just increasing my wpm by using 10-15 shortened words" on one end, which is what i do, then you have the "look at me, im a 13 year old girl, i have to spell EVERYTHING differently coz itz c00l" on the other end.. replacing s's with z's and such, and spelling words in a way that does not increase typing speed, or is shortened to the point where you cant even understand it, deserves mocking, especially if you are an adult..

i think a lot of people seem to put all shorthand type into one catagory, which is wrong, because i do not type as if im typing a text message, nor do i type words differently to make them look "cooler".. i simply take 10-15 common words and shorten them.. there is a huge difference between using some shortened or abbreviated words (u, ur, cuz, every1, dif), and talking like this: i ga my dryvrs lysens 2day, iz so sweet, ima go drvn rit now, i cnt wayt 2 get drnk n crsh n2 a tree do'n 95
