Q:TableMaximums?

What exactly are the stipulations for table maximums? Does this rule vary from casino to casino? For example if the table limit is 5-500$

1. Does this mean if you bet 500$(Max) you are now restricted from doubling?

2.Would this also mean you could only play two hands of 250$ each.

How do casinos regulate this criteria?

No, you can still split/double as many times as the rules let you (often up to 4 hands). As long as your initial bet is <=$500 they will take the action.

You are allowed to play the table max on multiple hands. In this case you could bet as many hands of $500 as you wanted to. That is one way APs get around a low table max.

Incidentally, saw a sign in Lake Charles, LA, at a fairly low limit ($500) table that "table partnerships may not exceed max bet".

I've always wondered about that. At an Ontario charity casino, you can't place more than a $100 max bet on anything. So I wondered what would happen if, when the count was good, I just passed a black back to my brother and said "back bet me". It's two players, but really, it's a $200 bet.

(Of course, it's probably better to play two hands of $75 than one of $200, but that's besides the point)

Is this what EZ meant by "table partenerships"? I read in a magazine once that Missouri "I think"(been awhile) had wierd stipulations about this. But perhaps like sonny said they'll "take the action".

Missouri casinos are restrictive because of the two-hour cashin limit applied per person. No passing of chips between people at the table.

However, I don't remember their rules on back-betting.

table max

Table max does not mean that is the maximum amount you can put on the tables the table max is $500 you can split 4 times so you then could have $2,000 on the table on 4 seperate hands of $500 each. The table max just refers to how big your intial bet can be. $500 a hand is to rich for me but others might want to play for more than that. If you want to play higher you have to ask the pit boss to kick up the limits. A can't believe that you didn't know that you would be allowed to split and double down when betting the table max. Of course you have to have the money behind you to do that.
