Question about Basic Strategy

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I Have a question Do ALL Players at the table have to prefect BS in order for the house to have the lowest possible edge? The Reason why i ask because it seems like im playing and doing so well, then i see someone make a move that is not perfect BS, Then the game turns around in favor of the house.

Also is there any truth in the fact that its better to Play at 1st base?

How others at the table play their hand will sometimes help you, and sometimes hurt you. Overall this will even out. IOW: how others play their hand does not effect your game nor does it change the house edge against you. If others play "wrong" it will likely change the house ende against them.

Most people say seating position doesn't matter except if you are counting or hole carding, you want to sit where you get the best view. I think some Sims have shown a slight, but not really significant difference between seats.

Granted this is a PERSONAL preference, but I find myself more comfortable at 1st base. That way, I can size my bets before the next hand. (I know this is not true, but is seems to me that if the count is high-that is I expect it to drop, then I want the first crack at that possibility!)

And before anyone throws a fit about 'it doesn't matter'-no, it doesn't. I just feel more comfortable there. (If I was focused specifically on indice deviation, I would want to be at 3rd base, iin order to have seen as many cards as possible to plan my changes accordingly).

In other words, I think you'll find that mathematically, it doesn't make any difference, so just sit where you're more comfortable at!
