Question For Fred Renzey

Hello Mr. Renzey-
I have a question for you. How many units do I need in my total bankroll if I'm using the Kiss III count? I play at the $5.00 table with $5.00 being my basic bet and $50.00 being my big bet. I play at a 6 deck shoe,double on any first 2 cards,double after a split,split aces once,dealer hits a soft 17,late surrender allowed. Thank you very much. I want to keep my ROR at 5% or less.

Rogue -- Using KISS III in that game with that spread and dealing 4.25 of the 6 decks, your long term win should be around $8 per 100 hands (w/o tipping) with an averaged bet of about $10.50, and your standard deviation per 100 hands should be about $200. Plugging those parameters into BJRM Risk Manager, your lifetime ROR would be 5% if you had a total bankroll of $7500. Five percent however, is pretty low and you would have a more typical 13% ROR with a $5000 bankroll.

Mr. Renzey,

What if they deal 4.5 decks out of a 6 deck shoe,what would be my bankroll requirement to keep ROR at 5%? Thank you very much!

Rogue -- Your B/R would need to be just about the same; $7500. That's because of the two offsetting factors involved in the new equation;
1) a higher EV because of the deeper pen.
2) a higher standard deviation because of the greater number of max. bets with deeper pen.
