Quick bet spread/ramp question

Hi guys, currently, I am trying to create a practical ramp to move along my 1-10 bet spread for a 6 deck game. My main question is, at what percent advantage should I max bet given a 6 deck game, DOA, DOS, H17? The answer to this will help me greatly, I do not own CVCX at the moment, so simulating a particular ramp for a given spread or how often certain percentages occur is ball bustingly difficult.

Thanks for you time and wisdom!

Depending on the game, most will put out a max-bet when they see an IBA (Initial-Bet Advantage) between 2-3.5%.

Generally, most of us use a (floored) 2% advantage.
That means not-less-than 2%

Of great importance here is being certain that your bankroll is adequate to the task.

As you are playing a dreadful game, presuming that the penetration is > 75% your
10-1 spread is hardly more than a break-even spread. I suggest 16 to 1 or greater.

With your spread, you are good-to-go with 1200 to 1,400 units conservatively speaking, not that it will be really profitable.

I hope that you are at least using a strong count.

If you are playing with less than 1,000 units — STOP !

I'm not playing it yet flash, and when I eventually do it will be with a refillable buy in versus a fixed bankroll. I can't possibly create a bankroll large enough to justify having a fixed bankroll at this point in time, but I can play with a small amount of money every so often for now. I realize this means a high RoR for a given session, but it will be long run profitable and good practice if I ever do manage to sock away enough for a fixed bankroll.

Thanks for the 2% advantage minimum guys and for the good advice Flash. I am at least using Halves count, but a slightly better than break even game is good enough for me as it is only a hobby for now. If I were to make my living off of this in a decade or so (Not gonna happen, I know myself too well), I would definitely find a better game and attack it more aggressively. For now though, there is a big local store, it is only a hobby with a small amount of money I can afford to lose.

Notice that your max bet in a shoe game is often recommended to be 12 to 16 units. With that spread, yes, you'd want to put those bets in play at around a 2% advantage (+4 or +4.5 TC). But with a 10 unit max bet, you want to get that one down sooner -- even sooner than if your max bet was 12 to 16 units, to make up in part for the tighter spread.

As your spread shrinks, your ramp needs to steepen. With that H17 game, if the pen is average, you want to bet 10 units at about +2.5 to +3 TC. Your variance will still be lower than with the big spread, but you will have made some of it up by getting bigger bets down at smaller advantages.

I thought this was the case, but thank you for making it clear! Would having a cliff rather than a ramp (just jumping from min to max bet when you had the advantage) attract more attention that a standard ramp? I don't plan on using that technique for.....obvious reasons, but I would still like to know!

The tables have generally have a minimum of 5 dollars (sometimes 3 dollars, once a week on Mondays apparently) and always a maximum of $199. My minimum would obviously be $5, maximum depending on chosen spread.
