Side bet A/8

Anyone heard of this?
You can do a side bet to where if you hit an Ace or an 8 you get paid 2:1.
If you get an Ace and an 8 you get paid 4:1. If you get A/A 4:1 8/8 4:1 and if the dealer has blackjack before you split you get 50:1. Then if you split them and get A/8 A/8 it pays 50:1.

This is in a 4 deck game so it seems kinda like a sucker bet, unless you're keeping count of the aces and eights left? Would it ever be a worthwhile bet?

I don't think there is a cap on it tbh.
All I know is that the min is 1$.
Its in Oklahoma
TBH?

And there must be a cap on it, that would be like if there was no blackjack max bet on a table.

Well i saw someone bet 30 dollars on it. the table is a 2-100.
so maybe a 100 dollar max? Not too sure. I'm a low stakes player just counting for fun playing the 2 dollar min so i don't think i'd be putting too much on the side since my BR isn't that big.

TBH = to be honest

If it's in Oklahoma, isn't there already a fifty cent per hand ante? Play 60 hands an hour and you are already $30 in the hole.

there is a 25cent ante between 4pm and midnight.
so i either go before 4 or after midnight :p.

does anyone know whether or not i should be trying to keep a sidecount of A and 8's for this bet?

Heh well I figured that :p.
Was just curious if there was ever any math on this sidebet to see if side counting aces and 8's could make ya some money.
