Simulation Software

Hi Guys

I was wondering if anybody could recommend some decent simulation software. I'm not really sure if I would use it much and only play BJ in a casino once every 4-8 weeks or so. Ideally, I'm looking for a fully working shareware or freeware sim that I can play around with and would purchase, if I can put good use to it.

Any suggestions?

The Casino Verite software is definitely the best software available. CVCX will give you enough tools to play around with and learn a lot about the game. CVData is mostly for people who want to mess around with strange strategies, rules and side bets. There are also programs like Blackjack 6-7-8, but I have had mixed results with it and would hesitate to recommend it. The only free software I know of is Powersim. With a little hacking it can be a decent tool, but you kinda need to know how to hack to really make it worthwhile.

Sonny, Thanks for the input. I've thought about CVData & CVCX, however the demos give out false information and I can't warrant paying the prices for them until I'm sure I would make use of them. It's a shame QFIT doesn't do fully working demos that provide correct information with a time or usage limit, as this would be the route I would take. I do already have a copy of powersim but I don't think my hacking skills are good enough to trust any data I get back. I haven't looked at Blackjack 6-7-8 but as your a well respected member of this site with good opinions, if you can't recommend it then it's properly not worth looking at.

Can you or anyone else recommend any others?

What hacking is necessary for PowerSim? It seems to work perfectly straight out of the box, and the numbers have been verified to match all of the commercial software.

The only substantial omission I noted was spreading to multiple hands.

CVdata/CVCX are very robust and are worth every single penny. Highly recommended.
