considering this sites write up concerning 6.5 single deck games... " Changing that one rule, reducing blackjack payouts from 3:2 to 6:5 adds a substantial 1.39% to the casino's advantage";

it's obvious that being able to get a blackjack is very important. so i was wondering if any players keep this in mind while playing a given shoe. i mean if you have a bunch of aces (say about six aces) come out early in a six deck shoe (say by about a deck and half dealt out or so) would it be wise to discontinue play of that shoe since there are fewer aces for which a blackjack could be realized even if the true count was say tc=1 or there abouts?

The expected number of aces in 1.5 decks is 6! So if u call that a bunch u gotta work on that "fuzzy counting" lol.

But if u want to do a fuzzy sidecount of aces and adjust your fuzzy running count, go ahead.

I don't think a side count of aces is worth the effort anyway, especially for 6D.

yeah i suppose it would be a rare event to get a significant number of aces out of play to affect your chances of getting a blackjack for a shoe. so it would make sense to disregard that with respect to the long run prospects.
guess thats part of the reason the ace/five count is a weak count.
thank you Kasi.

i was watching a DD game with 1 Deck penetration and 4 of the 8 aces came out in the second round of cards. everyone at the table muttered "there go the rest of the blackjacks"

for 6D if the count is going up, i'd keep playing. yes BJs give you the 3:2 payola but at high counts, double downs, splits, insurance all start to add up quite a bit. especially with max bets out.
