To get money on the table it always seems like we are talking about splits to start with as a way of doubling up your initial bet and "wham bam thank you mam" it seems like those doubles follow right behind.

I love the way you can often turn a crummy pair into a sweet couple double downs with the use of the split and resplit. As we often remark upon this area of action is the nexus of our wealth.

After honing in on my numbers I realize I need to pay more attention to my spit indexes.

I believe all indices are important in always having that little edge because we need all and all we can get in this game.

This is not a question per se but if you have any input it would be great.

Splits really don't occur that often. Needing a split index occurs even less.

Besides the infamous splitting of 10s vs 5,6, I guess you could splits 4s vs 4, 3s vs 8, and even 9s vs A.

And in negative counts, you could stop splitting 4s vs anything, 6s vs 2, and even aces v ace.

But still... really? on a frequency-adjusted basis, these wouldn't seem to get much money. I think the only reason splitting 10s shows up in the I18 is because 10s are so common.

Thanks for the info Sage it is interesting.

I suppose that takes into account the possibility of get a hand worthy of a double after the split.

I suppose I have just had some good luck with the splits and DAS lately.

I have been on a good streak.
