Splitting using Red 7 count

Could someone explain to me the difference between splitting in basic strategy and splitting using Snyders advanced red 7 strategy. When I am practicing flashcard drills in Casino Verite with the advanced red 7 count setting, I get an error message when I choose split 3-3 v 3. In the appendix of Blackbelt in Blackjack, I cant find a table for splits using advanced red 7 count.

Thanks,

Al

Splitting 3,3 vs. 3 (and vs. 2) is proper basic strategy if you are allowed to double after you splt, otherwise you should hit. Maybe the settings in CV are not set properly?

adv red 7 splits

I found what was confusing me regarding splits. In Casino Verite adv red 7 strategy table for splitting pairs, 2-2 and 3-3 should be splits vs 4 thru 7 only and 6-6 splits against 3-7. Should I use these BS changes since I am a red 7 count user?

The Red7 tables in CV have a long history since the Red7 count has a long history. Through the years there have been three versions of the book and a couple of BJF articles on the R7 count. The tables in CV did not contain mods for DAS. I just added them along with ENHC tables should anyone wish to download te latest update.

I am not familiar with Red 7. What could possibly be so special about the color of a 7 vs. any other card?

According to A. Synder, if you were to use the red 7 count but count all the 7,s as an equal value +1, the count would be to heavily skewed toward the low cards. His analysis showed that if all sevens were counted, the system would'nt perform as well.

Also, it doesnt matter if you count the red sevens as +1 and black sevens as 0, or vis versa, also you couls just count both as +0.5.

Ive been learning the red 7 count for the last 2 months, just started using it on Casino Verite software with only 6 indices(you are getting 80% of all card counting gains using these 6 strategy changes), i think its quality, plus u get to your pivot quicker than using a system like KO, initial running count for 6 deck game with KO= -24 , using red 7 its -12.
