Spotting another AP

I was at Foxwoods last night. I had a fun night and had a nice $1200 swing and ended up leaving up $200. Good enough :) Plus I earned some serious comps.

But roughly 6am I was sitting at third base and two over from me was an Asian girl who seemed to know when to hit her 12 against 6, raise her bets when the count went up, etc. I caught onto her. The ploppies were amazed she always seemed to draw the card that would have the dealer drawing out.

Although her spread wasn't as aggressive as mine she caught onto me too and we started to signal each other as to what our play was going to be.

First off, do you think the fact we figured each other means we were too obvious with our playing patterns? And has anything like this happened to you?

Yes. A month or two ago I was at a table and the guy 2 hands down from me was raising and lowering his bets almost parallel to mine. Unfotunately the variance gods were negative during that shoe and he depleted his BR.

I'd say that nobody really noticed since they didn't say anything to you. If you do feel a little paranoid, sometimes it helps me to "throw 'em off".

You know, if the count is high and you have 16 v 10, do a "That makes me a little nervous" or "I'm not feeling this" when you stand rather than hit. Plus, it is different that what you usually do.

Or like with a 8 v 5 and the count is up there again, say "Let's gamble" or something to imply that it's just a wild shot in the dark.

That's just my personality...I tend to yak it up with the dealers (as long as they aren't grumpy-asses)

Nice win.
