They don't think too highly of this site.

LVHCM was putting you down, but what has he ever contributed to this site? Even if he is a great player, he hasn't done anything to help anyone else be one.

wow how classless.

what truth did he tell that he got banned for? It couldn't have had anything to do with calling people homos, cussing up a storm, degrading practically everyone on here, among other childish posts.

the "professional" banned here had the chance to contribute something worth while and still choose to swear and call names. NOT very professional if you ask me.

That really was the truth that he was talking about.

Yeah but what good does that do for say me or you? Ok so they expose the frauds - that doesn't do s**t for me. Why not share something of their experiences or expertise instead? I could go onto message boards, give myself a different handle than I use here and then "expose the frauds" by talking all sorts of crap about the others posting.

Right now LVCHM sounds like a 2-year old throwing a temper tantrum. Whining and crying about being banned.

You see the problem i have with that idea is that they are not - from what i've seen - doing that. They are choosing to shoot off at anyone they don't feel are up to their lofty standards - and that includes anyone who chooses to count cards.
What makes it worse is that they 'expose frauds' based purely on their judgement, not on any evidence what-so-ever. I don't know Zen personally - although i do have a great deal of respect for him - so i cannot use him as an example, but one i do know about one poster i have seen LVHCM tare down.
I know this poster personally and also know the people he knows. I can tell you that he has made a lot of money out of the game and continues to make a lot of money out of the game.
Why then does he get attacked? Well if you look at the pattern of people attacked by LVHCM, it's anyone that the people who post here respect.
I certainly don't want to make the claim that LVHCM actually represents the Las Vegas Hole Card Mafia as i can't say one way or the other, but this poster does seem to like to attack anyone who seems to be in a postion of authority and make claims of them being a fraud no matter how ridiculous the accusation.
It's all about that poster taking the authority to tare down those with credentials who would share their knowledge, and doing so without producing any proof to support their claims. Surely if they were doing this for the benifit of the community they could produce some evidence to support their accusations?
One clear example i would give would be LVHCM's attack on Norm Wattenberg. Now as to Norm's playing ability i honestly cannot say one way or the other, but as to his ability to add to the communities understanding of the theory and the maths of the game, there is no doubt. How many authors and respected players have publicly thanked him for his assistance at this point in time?
You do not gain credibility by swearing and cursing, you gain it by putting forward a well reasoned argument with a clear structure. Otherwise the people who you are supposedly trying to help simply won't take you seriously.

Im not even worthy of 'ploppy' status weighing in on this one, but, I find it hard to believe, without personally knowing the person, that Bojack, for example, is a fraud. I am not judging LVHCM1, but I am/was anxiously awaiting any type of positive input. I only read derogatory posts. I not only read educational posts from Bojack, but, have received personal requests for info, that clearly states the man knows what he is talking about. He is a gentleman to boot. If LCV's style is talking tough, but still being informative-so be it.Gold is gold, wether it is given from a clean hand, or a dirty one. All I have read is dirt.Maybe he is trying to expose frauds, I dont know. He owes me nothing. I do not take for granted that he should 'give' me highly skilled ap skills that he has had to earn over time. But, I just cannot see the value in slandering others at will on this site, when nothing is given back, while claiming that one is a highly skilled ap. Zengrifter, I have never questioned your knowledge of the game. Ken Smith has granted you a site to share your wisdom with others. I hope it is not taken for granted to grind personal axes you might have with others in the ap community. Keep it real. I know alot of us newbies really appreciate this site.

I really don't see any point in pursuing this further. My recommendation is to just drop the subject, here and elsewhere.
