Hi everyone, I'm new here and would appreciate any good advice.
I've read Play Blackjack like the Pros by Kevin Blackwood and read through a lot of threads and I'm convinced card counting can work. A friend of mine and I have bought a shoe, and practiced hi-lo in his basement and took a few casino trips to practice counting.
We're not too bad at it now but we haven't actually started playing because of our lack of bankroll. We are going to be saving a bankroll, 5k each then combing before we start playing because unfortunately where I live min bets are 15.
The closest casino we live to has a max bet of 100 and min of 15. Is it possible to beat this game with at least a 1% edge? The rules are: no surrender, stand on S17 DAS, Double any 2 cards, split up to 3 times, good penetration 1-2 decks. I was hoping if we split to two hands at higher counts we could compensate for the low max bet.
Our other option is to drive a little further away where there is a $15-$300 game where we can spread from $15-$180. That is only 55 big bets between the two of us with our combined bank roll of 10k, would our RoR be within reason? say under 10%?
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.
