Hello!

My name is Simon and I am new to the World of blackjack.

Im searching for a List/program that shows which aspects of the game I need to practice/follow to develop my skills when playing blackjack.

In the present I have knowledge about Basic strategy and Hi/Lo Counting.

I am searching for betting systems and everything that will benefit my black jack gameplay.

Suggested systems and practice lists are very welcome.

A plan is what Im searching for.

Example, Master:

Basic system
Hi lo counting
X Betting system
Etc Etc

I would Appreciate this alot and since i am of young age i will have alot of time to practice before I can put my skills to play.

Thank you all!

A few things...

It sounds like you’ve got a good start!

You will want to practice basic strategy until you know instantly how to play your hand, without thinking about it.

You should practice your counting system until that is almost automatic as well. Practice by yourself using a deck of cards or software. Get a friend to deal to you while you play and count. Some people have a hard time when they first try to do this in the casino environment, so you want to be as prepared as possible.

Your betting system will be to size your bets according to the count.

Save up several thousand dollars that you are willing to lose.

Are you under legal gambling age? If so, I probably wouldn't worry too much about the blackjack. Just try to save up money you're willing to lose, and spend the rest of the time on more productive pursuits, like girls.

There are two computer programs I would recommend:

1) CVBJ, available at http://www.qfit.com/index.htm.

2) Sage BJ, available at (Dead link: http://www.s-a-g-e.com).

Most pros would recommend CVBJ since it is the most configurable, it can analyze your play, and notifies you of mistakes. I personally find it's UI cumbersome to use since you are required to use the mouse to click/drag chips around to size your bet. This might be helpful to a beginner who is still becoming familiar with chip denominations and which combinations to use for bet sizing, but I personally prefer just typing in the amount of my bet.

Sage is a very old Shareware program, and it's UI is very simple. I like it because it's fast, and you can size your bet and make all playing decisions using just the keyboard. It does not notify you of errors, and it's not nearly as complete as CVBJ for tracking your results.

i recommend the same, and surely you wouldnt go out and spend $100 on some software.. i think the idea of being able to count before you play your first hand of blackjack is crazy; you should have logged at least several trips to the casino playing basic strategy before you embark on anything else.. imagine your first step into a casino, you are a full fledged counter.. ya, i dont think so..

Seriously,which is crazier?
Going into a casino fully prepared to beat the game or going in shooting blanks?
If someone is willing to take the time to be able to play a winning game from the getgo, why would you not encourage him?
You can give $100 to the casinos or use it to buy software.

I agree, Sage is very simple.

You will never break the casinos!

The casinos set betting limits that don't allow a player to break them even if they get really lucky! The best you can do in a casino is personally win money weather the odds favor you or not! The Las Vegas casinos make billions of dollars there is no player big or small that I have seen walk away with a billion dollars a few million maybe. But those players are far and few between.
