Success story!

I had to quit bj for a few years due to location changes, but now conditions have allowed me to start up again. Had no problem picking everything right back up again after a little reading. Anyways, first time back I had two really good capitalizations on awesome counts.

The first time I had a raw count of +13 at the very end of the shoe. Bet the max on my hand, got two aces, split, got another ace, and split. Got 3 blackjacks :)

The second time, I had a raw count of +15 at the very end of the shoe. I bet the max on the max number of hands. Dealer had a 6 up…and things really got crazy…almost every hand was either a double down, split, or blackjack. This hand took like 10 minutes to play out, because by this time there were like 4 pit bosses/floor managers and the casino owner crowded around the table, and the dealer starting doing things wrong from all the pressure…and the pit boss was clearly getting anxious…scrutinizing almost everything the dealer did (improper splashes, etc.). I was making a huge scene, trying to act drunk and such for cover. Made some serious bank on that hand :) Surprisingly, I didn’t catch any direct heat at all despite being under the microscope of literally the entire upper-level casino staff. It seemed like they were more interested in watching out for cheating or dealer mistakes with all the money that was out on the table.

Left that night with 24x my bankroll. Yet it’s not the money I really care about (I realize there was still some amount of luck involved with those results)…it’s just the experience of cleaning out all those chips right in front of the casino managements’ face while acting like I didn’t really know what I was doing which was so great. This is what makes blackjack fun :)

Anyways it’s nice to be back to my favorite blackjack site!

I will say welcome back. Some of your terminology is a bit confusing. I'm guessing that "raw count" = running count. I wont's even attemp to guess what "improper splashes" are. And drawing 10's to split aces is not a blackjack. It's just a total of 21. A blackjack which pays a bonus payout of 3-2 or 6-5 occurs only on the first 2 cards received, not splits. That rule of resplitting Aces is fairly uncommon but great if you can find it.

When you say multiplying your bankroll by 24X, I'm assuming you mean some sort of session bankroll for that night or maybe your buy-in for that game. It's highly unlikely you won 24x your total bankroll unless you are playing severely under funded. Either way 24x your BR is indeed a great success. As for some luck involved with those results : Ya think!! :) anyway again welcome back and continued success.

ah yes to those corrections, it has been awhile.

By improper splashing I mean that at the end of the hand, there were chip stacks all over the table of all different colors, and the pit boss wasn't happy with how the dealer was doing things like paying everything out "no, no, you need to do it this way for the cameras..."
Things were kind of a mess and they were all a bit stressed :p

So what if he was what does it matter. He might of started with a $100 bucks.

Dude, be guarded about this level of detail on your trip reports: if anyone from that Pit or Surveillance crew reads your post, they'll put up a wanted poster of your face in both break rooms.

Seriously though. I'm sure the original poster meant session BR or buy in.

InPlay you don't really recommend someone playing even one session with only a $100 do you?
