Surrender signal

I know most places you just say "surrender" but this question relates to pitch games which offer surrender, rare, they do exist.

My question is, how do you signal a surrender? Do you throw your cards down face up and say surrender?

That has always been the traditional signal, but lately I've noticed that more and more houses are starting to require that funny little sideways finger scratch.

It would be nice if they had a little white flag on the table you could pick up and wave.

Just for the record the surrender is one finger back and forth in front of your spot on the table. This is internationally recognized will not cause any confusing when the camerea is rolling. If you play in a country where you don't talk the language it saves confusion.
