Suspected heat

I've been noticing that the last several times I've played the dealers have shuffled early on me... different dealers. It seems that they are getting some kind of signal to re-shuffle. I'm not sure what because I do not sense any heat from the pit. I typically play shoe games (6-8deck). My wins occurred at a single deck game. I switched back over to the 6 deck shoe game and the same thing happened with the reshuffling the deck prior to the cut card coming out. This is my first experience with this happening. I was in a run of negative variance for a while but had 4 consecutive big wins of at least 20 units. Not sure what to do. Should I lay low for awhile and just add more cover plays? go somewhere else?

Where are you playing, and how much are you betting? If you don't want to be specific about a casino at least tell us what state.

I dont consider 20 units a "big win". 20 units can be won in one round.

Well it seems they are re-shuffling the shoe once I hit greater than 20 units up. It's happened on more than one occasion. I do not sense any heat whatsoever from the pit so I may be paranoid, but it seems when I hit a streak within a shoe they reshuffle. I usually keep playing for awhile like I don't notice anything. Just don't know if this is just coincidence.

20 units isn't even close to 1 max bet for a lot of shoe games. Exactly when during the shoe are you getting shuffled on?

that makes me feel a little better 21gun salute. that means that there are bigger fish for them to fry other than me... the shuffles usually happen when i win 6 or more consecutive bets after raising my bet. i use a 1-6 spread. seems like they shuffle with 1-1.5 decks remaining before the cut card is reached. why else would the dealer shuffle early though? do some casinos just routinely do this? it seems if they feel they are at a disadvantage they shuffle. it could have been because the dealer was busting too much, but I was winning hands even without the dealer busting.

A 1-6 spread is not going to do for most shoe games. You probably need a spread at least double to that. If that's the case and they're shuffling early I'd find somewhere else to play. In fact that sounds like the worst place to play: Bad spread, bad pen and unnecessary heat. There's no upside.
