Table odds question

I've noticed that at one of the casinos that I play at frequently has changed thier tables from 7 players per table to 6 players per table which makes me wonder why? Does it change the odds more in the houses favor? If not then why would they do that? I would appreciate some thoughts on this. Thanks

If the table is full, it effectively reduces penetration on the last round dealt after the cut card. I've heard that some casinos were worried about too many spots on tables, but I don't honestly know why.

But more importantly, it allows more room for fat gamblers.

It probably does cost the casino some money, fewer hands per hour per table. But to be honest, I enjoy having more room for my fat self.

I wonder about that. Maybe they get more hands per hour because they don't have to shuffle as often. Be interesting to know how the math works out on that.

The Pioneer and Trop in Laughlin have five spots per table.I sit in the first spot, hold the second as much as possible for when I spread to two hands and have more room than I know what to do with.Sure beats being elbow to elbow at the EC.
