the pen is mightier than the sword

This may sound like a dumb question but I've never heard it brought up before. Is there any law prohibiting the use of a pen and paper at the BJ table? I know you can bring paper, but I wasn't sure abut the pen.

A non-issue

There is no law re: this specifically, but "the law" allows for casino management to decide what you may or may not have at the table.

I don't believe there is a law per se. But why would you want to do it?

Max rubin, as a joke, suggesting using the little baccarat history tally sheets at the blackjack table.

I actually saw a player doing that at one local shop, and he was asked to remove it from the table, because they had a "drinks and cigarrettes only" policy.

I was once told "nothing as big or bigger that the cards" and another time "nothing at all" on the table, but I could hold any size in my hands. I had a card, but wasn't writing anything. My guess is the rule varies.

I don't know. I don't know why not.

What would you record if you could?

Even being able to make a slash for every round would be cool - at least you'd know how exactly many rounds you played lol. You could probably do that without a pencil and paper anyway.

Recording W/L/T/BJ would be even cooler lol. Tell them you need it to know when to increase bet lol.

Recording rank and suit of every card dealt with lots of multiplying might be pushing it lol.
