The perks of shoe games

I wonder how many times it's better to play a poorer SCORE shoe dealt than hand held for the reason that you get so many more hands in per hour. I was at a 6 deck table solo, and the amount of hands dealt out was incredibly fast.

I'm not talking substantially lower SCORE, but maybe 20 points lower at the most.

Dealers get the cards out to you so much faster with those shoes and when the cards are face up you can just make a quick signal which is so much quicker. I would venture to say that you get 20-60 more hands in per hour on a 6deck shoe compared to a hand held game. The difference is more apparant in solo games when you get a good rhythm going with the dealer.

I was at a certain place that rhymes with Sexies Haitan on the 6d surrender game with 45 cards cut off, and I almost felt like I was practicing at home on CV.

Surrendering is always great as well - seems to lower the variance quite a bit.

Pitch games HU can be fast too, its just when the showboating ploppies sit down that the game slows down to unbearable crawl.
