The thing about comps ...

Not an AP, so the only way I have a prayer of coming near even is to hustle comps. I play at a minimum tables, hopefully full, and take breaks as often as seems reasonable (more often when free drinks). Only once resorted to spilling a drink to delay play. Only got one spot wet anyway, so they just moved me over. Got to practice that move. :)
I sometimes rathole green chips and buy in more so the PB's rate my play worse (who knows if that matters). If I take a break & move to another table, I'll usually buy in again.

On to the point .. my wife plays slots and doesn't risk as much as me, so probably makes out about the same ... occasional good sessions, some losses. So the local joint we visit sends HER a voucher for a free room! What am I chopped liver? :flame:

OTOH another local place we've only recently been to a few times sent us both vouchers for free tickets to some pretty good, but not expensive concerts ... Temptations, CCR and several other choices. I'm sure they figure they get us in the door and we'll play a couple of hours and lose more, but still pretty nice considering if we paid for tickets we'd probably still play.

I should read Rubin's book, but if anyone has other comp suggestions, they would be welcome. Rarely see match play or coupons or such.

Jean Scott's More Frugal Gambling is... okay... it's geared towards video poker players with a little bit of slots thrown in. Rubin's book is geared heavily towards table play, and is a great read.

Next time, spill the drinks on the dealer's cards. That way it wrecks the felt and the cards.

(It's not a move I make on purpose. Only on accident when drunk)

What do they expect when they ply you with free drinks?

I never did on purpose either. Clumsy/Drunk or some combination.

Try squeezing the lime into a Corona, using only one hand. Its hard not to spill it and looks very natural.

LOL.

My wife gets offers all the time from AC. I can't remember last time I got a $1 for food playing min BJ.

Her comps are often redeemable for cash. If I do get any, never for cash.

I'm just talking about AC.

She may not "risk" as much as u but the casino knows they'll get 16-20 times from her dollar wagered compared to yours.

Although, I actually just got $14 in food comps from Seneca-Alleghany from playing mostly min $10 BJ for about 8-10 hours last week. I was in shock.

Working the comps

I have never done this myself, but I have been told that after you have bought-in and the pittboss has run your players card, you simply give your card to your wife and let her play slots on your players card. Combining most of the action on one players card will get you more comps, than spreading it out on two cards.

Depends on the house. At my primary house, we were issued 2 cards in my name, one for my wife. They said both cards will work simultaenously in slots, however, if one card is logged in at a table, the other card will not accrue points while the table card is active.

Yea, I tell her she'll lose more even at quarter slots than blackjack, craps, or even baccarat. She "doesn't like" table games.

That's pretty good from Seneca Allegany. I shouldn't complain. I've gotten 2 buffets from Seneca Niagara for maybe 20 hours of pretty low level play. They seem really variable on doling out comps. They gave my wife a weekday room and I think they also do that at Allegany

It's Fallsview that gives away concert/show tickets. Don't know if we'll stay on "the list" if play stays low, but the guy that booked the ticks said they send out a promotion every month with free tics.
