The world of wong

Anyone suggest any good books on wonging or back counting I think you call it when you jump in when the count is good?

I would think your losing streaks would be virtually nonexistent when playing only positive counts.

I think I am becoming a wong-aholic.

Tell that to the $3500 of my money that MGM got last trip. Or the $1200 that TI got in five minutes, or hell, the $600 that a dumpy local joint got that still got me backed off the next week.

The phenomenon of running full speed into a brick wall with beg bets on a wong-in is very jarring.

Regardless, it's still pretty much the best thing since chunky peanut butter.

Schlesinger's book Blackjack Attack has some information regarding Wonging.

During positive counts, the house is still favored to win more hands than the player. Therefore, you will need to get naturals, successful double downs and successful splits in order to win even in positive counts where YOU the player have the advantage. If you don't get those naturals, double downs, and splits (and then win them in the case of the latter two), you may lose big time, because you are betting your maximum bets. I say "may" because you may win all or most of your hands in spite of the odds being against your doing so.

Therefore, even when you only wong in at positive counts, you must be careful not to over-bet your bankroll. Counting is still gambling. Keep your risk of ruin low. Make sure your bankroll can weather the storms. Then, in all probability, you will win in the long term.

No one said it was going to be easy. If someone did, they misspoke.
