anyone seen this game at casinos? I just ran into a table where my fav. BJ table used to be at a casino in Louisiana, looked like a bad game to be playing, i was just wondering how common of a game it is

Never heard of it. I'm curious how it might work, since TTT is a non-winnable game for both sides.

the dealer shuffles what looks like about 45-50 cards that contain only X's and O's then has the players pick a number (rotates from player to player) between 1 and 9. If no one chooses then the dealers choose (always chose 5 when i watched) then they layed down a cut card and started dealing off the top of the deck on the chosen spot and dealt all the way from that number to the one before it (IE 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 1, 2, 3, 4,) until either 3 X's or 3 O's lined up. There is a tie bet on the game but dont know the payoffs on it for if there are 9 cards out and no win for either X or O. looked like it was massivly popular there always 3-4 people on it at a time which was mostly full.

A game where the house edge is LOWER for the tie bet. Don't see that too often.

I'm waiting for the "Pick a number 1-10" table game.

if you look at it that "non regular" casino they go to in vegas vacation, several of the games are already on casino floors, you got War and Tic Tac Toe already, now you need guess the number and rock paper scissors tables to be good to go as far as the movie

I used to work at a Chinese restaurant and the chefs would gamble among themselves by picking up a handful of rice and guessing how many grains there were.

That is a rudimentary form of "Fan Tan" - perhaps the oldest Chinese gambling game.
