Don't Call at the End of a Hand to "Keep Someone Honest"
This one follows the last tip. I see a lot of players look at another player's final bet, look at the hand, & say "I know you've got me, but I have to keep you honest," as they throw in a final call. It may be worth it to see if a player really has the hand if you're not sure & you're gaining information that will help you later on, but if you really feel a player has the hand he's representing & you're beat, why give him another pile of your money? Those bets will add up over an evening.

Well, the OP is probably spam from the posting history, but in case anyone wants to follow up on this discussion, let me point out that the number of people who are calling to keep someone honest is smaller than the number of people who say they are calling to keep someone honest.

I call down all the time and claim I keep people honest. In reality, I have top pair second kicker and got 3-bet on the turn or something which strongly indicated that my kicker's no good. In the end, I'll make the crying call and if I lose, I muck and say, "I put you on <whatever hand they just showed down>."
