See for yourself:

PGI has in its possession a copy of the Thomas Hyland Team procedures that was confiscated in a hotel room used by a team of "Hyland" card counters via a vice bust!

These guys really seem legit. The naked lady at the bottom of the screen really gives them credibility.

And everything I've heard about the Hyland team indicates they are clean, straightforward, professional, and wouldn't be congregating in a room that was the subject of a "vice bust."

The PGI site has always had a fun, underground feel to it though, a lot like the anarchist and "secret information" books from the 70's and 80's.

You're familiar with them? Do you think their books/videos have reliable information? It looks like mostly training on how to "run down" card counters, but there might there might be some interesting info in there.

My first instinct is that it's mostly rubbish, but there might indeed be some useful information on that site, particularly on illegal or borderline techniques that reputable authors don't want to get involved with. I think the profiles of counters are people who have been in trouble with the law (rightly or wrongly) and their case and mugshot are public information.

Ah, Loompanics, that's the name I was trying to recall! To describe them, just imagine what you would get if ZG ran a mail order store. No connection, just the PGI marketing approach reminds me of them.

Is this book in an electronic form when they send it to you or hard copy? I would be curious in learning this stuff if it is...

I think I have an old Loompanics catalog around here somewhere. You're right. If zg ran a bookstore, it would be Loompanics.

The late Lyle Stuart, who also published Lawrence Revere and would later be sued by Steve Wynn for publishing John Smith's unauthorized biography of Wynn identifying him as "an asset of the Genovesi crime family", started Loompanics. zg

Loompanics

My understanding is that Loompanics is out of business. True? If it's back in business I'd love to find out their address.
