Two-Dollar Tables

With the assorted freaks and regular peeps that you see at these tables, it appears that almost anything goes. When you factor in the clanking of all those low denom metal chips and the amount of time it takes the dealer to figure out the strange payouts it becomes surreal. On top of that you're almost Wonging out during neg portions of the shoe b/c $2 takes a hella long time to really dent your BR. The best part is that what should be an irrational spread 1-20 almost fits in with the inherent bizarre nature of the table. Sure you're going to stand out a little if your big bet is $40, but at a nickel table they wouldn't usually blow a gasket and the same pretty much applies to the 2 buck table--even if the spread is much larger. When LS is offered it's approaching nirvana--at least for the low stakes counter in this current climate. If you can find it (6,h17,ds,ls,rsa) you’re golden, agree or disagree?

I'm in agreement, even though my primary play is high stakes, 30-40% of my play is spent at low stakes tables with friends and family helping them score a few dollars and having fun. I get a real kick out of spreading 1-40 or more and winning. I looked back at my log and amazingly I have a 83% win rate at tables $10 and below. I also want to note that I far exceed the standard deviation here because of the wild spreads. The reason I win more often is I stay until I win because I always have enough ammo to win the battle. I believe that it is also great cover at the casinos that I play at with regularity because they know that "it's all in fun." I also tend to propotionally tip much more during these sessions and even exceed 10% of my wins. To maintain my cover when a shoe really gets juicey, I get my wife or friends to move up to table max. She still gets a real rush when she wins and almost glassy eyed when she loses. You should see friends, they go nuts. I envy them, I simply accept the outcome. My famous line is "heck I've made worse bets." But I will admit that I look pretty dumb when I miss 1-2 table max bets at a $10 table...
