Two Hand ?

Suppose you reach a count greater than the pivot. By CVCX that's the time to go max bet.

However, I have only one game in my town and don't really want to generate unwanted heat.

So I was thinking to split my max bet to two hands at half my max bet on those favorable counts.

What affect does that have on my EV? Assuming I played only one hand before the pivot.

Most books I have read on playing 2 hands have said that you should bet 70% to 75% of your 1 hand bet on a 2 handed bet. As far as what it does to your EV I would think your software could tell you that.

On CVCX there's an option to do 2 hands but it's for all counts only. But doesn't have the option to say play 1 hand all counts except for certain counts above an EV. Would be a cool feature though. Thanks.

If you split your max bet across 2 hands it will reduce your variance while keeping the same EV. This can be a good way to reduce heat while keeping the same win rate.

If you use the 75% rule (for example, instead of 1 hand of $40 you would bet 2 hands of $30 for a total of $60) you will increase your EV while keeping the same variance. This is a good way to get more money on the table, and therefore more profit, in a good situation.
