As a local resident, I can state that there is absolutely more riffraff around town than ever before. I think we are getting many priced-out southern California lowlifes moving in. And apartments keep being built, water or no water. More apartments = more riffraff. Sad to say, it is not the Las Vegas of even twenty years ago.
How you doing LV Bear?

This is the same thing I"m hearing over here in San Diego. Yes... a lot of people are moving out... Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Texas & Mexico.... Our neighbors left because their rent went up nearly $700 in the course of 1 year. Total expenses for a family of 3 was ~ plus $6k / month according to him. Impossible to save any money living on their pensions & SS. Also the drug usage has increased considerably nationwide... and the drugs today are nothing like what you got in the 60's and 70's

They're laced with even more pernicious compounds and cut to the extreme for mere profit... obviously. According to that article... users were shooting up in front of people on the strip.
Blackjack over here in SoCal has degraded to 6:5 on the 6 & 8 Deck games at some casinos... unless you play Freebet or $25 min Double Deck. No more bargain buffets, $0.99 cent breakfasts or $4.99 Prime Rib dinners... now they want $4.50 for 8 oz. of water where they used to just give it away upon request for free... at some casinos anyway. Went over to Smith's and got a 6 pack (17.6 oz) of Crystal Geyser for $1.15 =)
Las Vegas is now ranked as the 9th most ozone-polluted city in the US, up from 13th the previous year... but LA is still ranked #1
