VPFree is pretty good. Wizard of Odds has paytables and tells you how to beat some of the games.

Could someone please suggest to me a good book or website on how to beat video poker?
I believe the number of video poker machines that can be beaten is rapidly diminishing; the books which I have read list only a few places in the whole world which still have +EV machines.

Learning how to play them may still be valuable, though - the machines that can't be beaten have really high return rates (99%+, or <1% house edge), which means that for places which count comps on video poker to be equivalent to standard slot machines (5%+ house edge), the value of the comps they're willing to extend to you (generally 1/4 of their expected winnings, or 1-2%) may outweigh your expected losses on the VP machine.

Don't forget promos and mail offers.

Thanks for the suggestions guy , I'll look into those opitions. Even if there aren't any +ev machines around, it would still be good for comps and a good cover ploy from counting.

I knew a person on another forum that played some higher limit video poker ($25 coin maybe?) for a few days during a promo, and got mail offers from Harrah's for years afterward. Took free cash, jewelry, and suite comps, without every gambling at a Harrah's joint again. Offers kept coming.

Mail offers and comps can be a huge benefit.

Harrahs has revised their comp software recently. To my surprise, my free room offers at one AC house stopped 3 weeks after I stayed there but didn't play there (I have a Diamond card.) The following week, I gave them some action and the room offers reappeared 2 days later. Just as they are now requiring "play or pay" for those that use their Diamond Clubs to excess, they've tightened up room offers, too.
