Weeding Through New Messages

I love this forum but this software (UBB) drives me bonkers.

When I come back after a few hours, I can see which threads have new comments (because they're in bold) but AFAIK, there's no way to know where the comments I haven't seen start. I have to weed through the stuff I've already read until I can say to myself "this looks new." A real PITA.

Anyone know of a better way to browse new posts? I know there is a "New Posts" button at the top of each page but it would be better labeled "Updated Threads." I still have to manually search through each thread to find where the stuff I haven't seen begins.

Life is so hard!

I usually click on the last page of the thread. If what I see there doesn't look familiar, I back up a page. Keep doing that until you see something you've read before.

Ugh. If I wrote the software for UBB, the very first thing I'd do is implement a "take me to the first message I ain't seen yet" button or link.
