Eliot Jacobson
Mr Jacobson lives in my area but we do not know each other.
I often have either given his book or recommended his book "Blackjack Zone" to someone who seems sincere in wanting to learn how to play blackjack. The book, in my opinion, does not teach you how to play but helps clear your mind of the many myths of blackjack and prepares one to move to the next step.
Mr Jacobson appeared to be very innocent, let us say extremely naive, when it came to his local casino, Chumash casino. The story is that early on he went to management there and explained to them that their shuffle was easily trackable and told them how they should shuffle. The result was they barred him from their property and bought ASM's to solve the problem. Thank you Mr Jacobson and get your ass off of tribal land!
His posting of his photo on cardcounter.com goes along with his innocence. I think there is always the thought in his mind that the advantage player and the casino can work together instead of being adversaries. Failure in this, probably quickened his move to the other side, in consulting. I have though never heard of him selling out an AP in his new line of work.
