I am a newbie, and have a question.what makes you a high roller player and what do you have to do to get into the high roller rooms. The games seem to be a lot better for the players there.

play slots,get a free room

Our last trip to Vegas,My GF and I signed up for cards at several downtown venues. I played $5-15 BJ and she played 1 cent-25cent slots.I recieved a single $5 matchplay coupon and she got multiple free room offers. In fact,we leave Sat for a slot tourney at Vegas club. She got 3 free nites and is guarenteed a minimum $50 in prize money. Its pretty much the same in AC.

You can usually get into most high limit rooms and play for $100 minimum. Sometimes in the off hours, they will drop to $50. In the indian casinos near San Diego, they play a DD game, for $25 in the high limit room.

typically how much would you have to bet per hand before you start getting free rooms?
It really depends on how much money you run through a casino. My wife plays the penny slot machines and get all kinds of comps at Harrah"s. She plays three times a week, brings $200 to spend and usually comes home broke. So you see, you don't have to bet a lot on each hand, you have to run a lot of money through the casino. I am sure that if you played $5-$10 per hand for long periods of time, you will get the comps you want.

I've seen as low as 10 dollar minimum in the "high stakes" room.
