However, I still utilize Frugal Video Poker occasionally for one nice feature absent in VPW. In FVP, you can easily use the "wrong" strategy for a game and see what the return is. For example, let's say you find a 10/6 Jacks game somewhere (they used to exist at Stratosphere in Vegas). It is nice to be able to calculate the return on the game even if you still use the normal 9/6 Jacks strategy. FVP will do that. In VPW, it would require a lot of effort to do the same thing.
VPW uses images licensed from IGT and Action Gaming, so the games look IDENTICAL to the casino games. While that doesn't affect the practice value of the software, it does make using it more pleasant.
