Have you ever considered learning KO? It's close to many other professional level systems in terms of EV, and it's probably not too much harder to learn that your system. I don't know how GT works, but believe me, KO is not that hard to learn. At least get the book Knockout Blackjack by Olaf Vancura and Ken Fuchs and decide for yourself. At your betting level that increase in power will make you a lot more money.Dr. Feelgood said:About 1 month ago I was using GT which I know most you guys frown upon but I got to +41 with about 1 deck left remaining in 6 deck shoe. My single unit was $100 so I was betting $800 for 3 hands and twice I split then doubled luckily hitting on both. I was nervous since I usually don't get that opportunity. It was a nice end to the shoe.
yes i have a similar experience when the counts get good. what happens with me is that i get so darned excited that i start paying more attention to how the hands play out and not enough attention to the count. by the time the hands are played out i've lost my recall of what the rc actually was so i'm stuck as far as further optimal betting.ortango said:Just like you guys said... its really nerve wracking because 1. All the big money up there and 2. Its so rare that you are not really prepared for it. Im afraid of making bonedhead plays too.
I used to have this really bad, and paying way too much attention to the hands.. Nowadays, I think I have trained myself very well. GET the running count first, just like any other round. Make sure you have the INDEXES in mind, maybe even before the cards are dealt out if you have time in between, to prepare for any combination. Its still hard though when you have $1200 riding on it.sagefr0g said:quoted from EasyRhino

i'm curious as to how others handle these situations.
