When is R.F.B. ~ NOT ~ R.F.B. ?

At the EVIL EMPIRE [C.E.T. properties], that is where !

I just spent a few days where my host had told me that I was R.F.B.

My "Rewards Points" account had about 1,000 points - but they debited my account
for everything, i.e. wine, gourmet restaurants, room service, WiFi — and I thought
that I was being generous sharing my good fortune with my friends! L.O.L.

My host told me that the sole privilege of being R.F.B. (as of recently) is that you can sign
your tabs to your room and they would automatically debit your "Reward Points" account.

In other words, R.F.B. is worthless ! It no longer exists at C.E.C.

C.E.T. = FAIL!

This semi-mirrors my experiences lately. After hours of play in the HL room, I would ask for a meal comp. The response since the beginning of this year has been "I'm sorry, we cannot comp a meal, but you do have X points on your TR card. I can print you off a coupon with the dollar value of those points."

C.E.T. was actually decent with my comps last year. Rooms when available, food and beverage all taken care of. Now it is all gone.

Worthless. :whip: :flame:

Isn't 1000 rc = $10 ?

For table game play (exclusive of slots) a "Reward Point" equals either
$1 or (½ dollar) depending on its use. For retail purchases, spa services,
or gourmet restaurants [at the casino] they are always worth the full $1.

NOTE: I am NOT referring to "tier points."

So 1000 rc earned at table games = $1000 dollars? If so, I've been getting ripped off.And yes, I'm aware of the difference between reward credits and tier credits.

In A.C., A gift card [to be spent at their attached Mall on the pier],
costs you 2 points to the dollar. e.g. you decide you want an iPad from
the Apple Store and they tell you that, tax included, it will run you $432.
You get a Gift Card for that amount and it will cost you 864 R.C.'s.

Eat at an on-site restaurant or buy the Wall Street Journal and your account
will be debited at par, a R.C. = a dollar.

If you get some merchandise from the "Total Reward" catalogue, the prices
are listed in R.C.'s but by checking the actual retail prices you can see that
the same 2 to 1 ratio of R.C.'s to dollars is used.

Something similar happened to me at a Trump casino:

I had a big losing session and the PB offered me dinner in their steak house. Next day, I noticed my comp dollars gone. So, asked the PB about it and he said their policy was to use whatever points were in the account and anything above and beyond would be covered by the "offer." I then asked to speak with the shift mgr and he confirmed that's how it worked. Bunch of BS!

Yeah, I've gotta side with the folks doubting that 1 RC = $1. Pretty sure it takes 100 RCs to equal $1.

An example from the TR site:

REWARD CREDITS REWARDS
500 $5 Comp to Canal Street, Mansion Cafe
1,000 $10 Comp to Canal Street, Mansion Cafe

Tier points , bonus points and comp points are all three seperate animals.
I have approx 11,500 comps points which are worth $115 dollars in used for most things.

It sounded great!

But if that were the case I would have about $30,000 (I have 60,000 RCs) in comps to spend right now.

21forme: That happened to me before in A.C. as well... gotta be careful

Also be forewarned about the Borgata

If you do not earn at least $5 in comps when playing, they credit you with nothing. Typically this means about 2 hours of play at the green level or 3-4 at the red level.

"RFB" there is worse then worthless.

If you eat, then give your card at the restaurant to pay, then it's taken out of your comp $ immediately.

If you sign it to your room, then get backed off, you could end up paying for it

uh, no!!!

Reward Credits are 1 point = 1 penny regardless of what you play. 1000 points is only $10. Your RC balance is the sum of your base + bonus points. For table games you get about 2x your avg bet per hour in base points and roughly the same amount of bonus credits thus for a $100 avg bet you'll get about $4 an hour in comp points that YOU have discretion over.

If you're in RFB your host is basically telling you that he's going to use your points up and if you are still short on the bill he will pick up the shortfall out of your discretionary comp account. (With the TR system every player has one bucket for RC's and a separate hidden bucket at each property that a host has access to based on their discretion.) The answer...zero out your points before you check out. Buy up **** in the gift shop or get TR gift cards if you know that the host is going to zero out your points anyway. Make sure that you've played though as the host could always change their mind.

Straight off the Harrah's website:

"Reward Credits for cash (1,000 RC's = $5.00 US)"
That's because their rewards for cash deal is 50%. One time, many years ago, I took advantage of a limited 1:1 cashout.
