which basic strategy is correct ?

The card on BJIFO for 8 deck has a few variances in it from other BS cards .Is the BJINFO the actual precise one to use ? I am a recreational player whereas I play at the $25.00 minimum table 2 hands and my bets probably average in a 4 hour sesssion $125.00 so I get all the comps as well .My bankroll is $10,000.00 that I bring to the casino > $1,000.00 for slots and the rest for BJ . I do not count cards though and basically play 4-5 hours max .ty all in advance !!!!!

BS varies with the number of decks and the rules. Most questions of this type arise when the person is comparing BS for different games. Are you sure you're comparing apples to apples? If you are, maybe you could give us more details on just what you're looking at.

What i meant was playing 8 deck , s17 DAS, peek and such . For instance some cards say hit a 13 against dealers 2 while some say no . A5 player with the dealer having a 3 up some say double while others say hit . Just a curiousity question and yes i understand casinos and their rules change like we change underwear - almost hourly . TY in advance as always .

Where did you see basic strategy saying Hit 13 vs 2 or Double A/5 vs 3?

It was on a site sponsored by Bodog as I recall but am not positive . It just seemed really wrong to me . I guess the people here agree as well . This site definitely gives the most comprehensive answers as well . I deleted all the other sites from my favs once I found this one .

Hitting 10,3 vs 2 as BS in a single-deck S17 game is as close as I can come to what u say.

I've seen internet casinos advertise the wrong basic strategy.

Ever wonder why dealers give u bad advice too?

Speaking of that, when dealers are trained, are they told it's OK to give advice? Not supposed to? Actually trained to give bad advice?

Anyway, yeah, stick to reliable sites, like, say, this one!

At my local casino dealers are always giving bad advice, they always ask to split 10s and 5s, sometimes people say sure OK. Although once I slipped up and doubled 9 against 7 which really was a bad move, just before I pushed the money towards my box the dealers asks me if I am sure giving me a funny look, that night I had a few too many beers and say yes, after I lost he says to me "ya know your only meant to double nine up to the six", I should have listened to him, I dont make mistakes like that anymore.

I know one place where the dealers encourage you to ask, say pit crew have BS cards if they're unsure. I've seen dealers ask pit crew, but never seen them actually reference a card. I've seen them give some good, bad and downright ugly advice .... like never split 9's. Who do you trust BJinfo or BJ dealers?

Last year, there was an incident where the Vegas Partner Lounge group of casinos sent out an email to all players giving blackjack tips including:

"Always take a card on 16 or lower because you can't win unless the dealer goes bust."

After players complained on Casinomeister, they changed it to:

"Always take a card on 17 or lower because you can't win unless the dealer goes bust."

They said the issue was unintentional, the writer was not a skilled a BJ player.
