Which indices to use?

Hello All,

I have begun to learn the indices of Snyder's BB in BJ; however, I have recently read about the "illustrious 18" from Blackjack Attack. I don't have BB in BJ in front of me now, but it appears there is some difference in the two. As an example, the illustrious 18 says to take insurance on TC +3, while Snyder says TC +2. Also, I don't think Snyder has an index for splitting 10s. Am I misreading something? I guess purchasing BJ Attack would be a good idea!

Are we talking HiLo? Learn the TC per 52 cards method and indices,
NOT the BBIBJ "true-edge" TC per 26 cards method and indices. zg

Yes, Hi-Lo. Sorry I forgot to mention that. What is the difference between the TC per 52 cards and the BBIBJ True-Edge Truce Count?? Where do I get the indices for the former?

Oops yes, of course it is.

My error. Sorry.

Once I saw the reference to "BBiBJ" ...

In my world, nobody uses a count as weak as Hi-Lo.

I read that the majority of teams use Hi-Lo as it is the most common system...I hope to one day graduate to a more advanced system, but for now I am working on the basics of Hi-Lo.

Cultivate a good healthy cynicism, so that you do not believe whatever you
read / see, when it is in keeping what it is you want to be receiving.

Those teams for the most part operated 2 +decades ago
when advanced counts were not as important; and it was
important to use a simple count that Big Players could
easily "pick up and run with" when called in.

Hi-Lo was the "most common denominator" as so to speak.

Hi-Lo sufficed, because teams depend on a MASSIVE spread
(via Big Players) to win, and accuracy is less important.

Even the simplest weakest counts are powerful if spreading 100-1 or MORE !

Bare in mind — even the M.I.T. team went bankrupt at times.

So...which indices am I supposed to use haha?!

I am considering buying BlackJack Attack...What would be the next best bet after Blackbelt in Blackjack to continue my study of the HiLo count and other general counting topics?

I have no interest in KO, no interest in more advanced systems, and no interest in shuffle tracking (yet...)

Yes, HiLo is fine. Someone here might be kind enough to provide the TC@52 cards indices. zg

I would use the higher of any index in question. Using an index before you reach your advantage can take away all the gain from the index. It may even cause the hand matchup to have a -EV. The lower index is used much more frequently. If you you are giving away advantage at the low end of a positive index it is very bad.
